‘Maritime Festival’ is a reconstruction of events that took place at the opening night of the Maritiem Festival in Den Bosch. This local festivity now becomes connected to the mythical relationship assigned to the moon and it’s influence on the sea by sailor men throughout centuries. The film as an accumulation of anti climaxes, is simultaneously building up an intangible suspense of an unknown ritual.
